Outdoor Track and Field Lifts Lid on 2024 Slate at Queensborough Relays

York College men's and women's outdoor track and field produced four top-10 finishes in a collective effort Saturday in their season opener at the Queensborough Relays hosted by Queensborough Community College.

Men's Performance Breakdown

  • Glenver Stuart, a 2023 CUNYAC Outdoor All-Star, turned in a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter dash in 57.62.
  • Michael Zhang completed the 10,000-meter run in eighth-place, clocking a time of 39:18.44.

Women's Performance Breakdown

  • Coming off a breakout indoor campaign that saw her garner All-Star status, Katryna Francois made her outdoor debut by pacing the Cardinal women in the 1,500-meter run with a seventh-place finish in 6:38.63. 
  • Also making her debut was Imani Gibson, who followed in eighth place (6:48.20).
  • In the 4x800-meter relay, Francois and Gibson teamed up with Keanna Clouden and Peta-Gay Hunter to place third in 14:05.67

The Cardinals are back in action next Saturday (Mar. 30) at 11 a.m. to compete at The Big Hurt hosted by St. John's University at DaSilva Memorial Field.
