Please note that we will only be accepting applications from students who were educated within the United States. Students who have been educated outside of the United States must apply through the University Application Processing Center (UAPC) at: http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate.html. Applications for the Fall 2013 is currently available at http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate.html. The application deadline for the Fall 2013 is February 1, 2013.
All prospective freshmen and transfer applicants wishing to apply for Spring 2013 Direct Admission must meet the academic requirements for York College admission.
Both freshman and transfer Direct Admission applicants must meet University proficiency requirements or exemption by meeting the following criteria:
- Grade of C or higher on a 3-credit English and a 3-credit Math course from accredited institutions; OR
- SAT scores of 480 verbal and 510 math; OR
- ACT English score of 20 and Math score of 21; OR
- English Regents score of 75 or higher; AND
- Math Regents: Seq. II, Seq. III, Math A, or Math B score of 75 or higher; OR Integrated Algebra, Geometry, or Algebra 2 & Trigonometry score of 80 or higher and successful completion of Algebra 2 & Trigonometry or higher-level course.
- Additional information may be needed upon review of direct admissions applications (i.e. US Permanent Residency Card, Certificate of Naturalization, Birth Certificate, Proof of NYS Residency, etc.)
Freshmen
All prospective freshmen wishing to apply for direct admission must meet the York College Freshmen Admissions Requirements.
Freshmen applicants must provide the following documents to be considered for Spring 2013 admission:
- $65.00 check or money order
- Official high school transcript(s) (in a sealed envelope) with proof of graduation or GED diploma and scores (Score of 3000 or better)
- SAT/ACT scores
Applications are accepted during our normal business hours. No appointments are necessary.
Transfer
All prospective transfers wishing to apply for Direct Admissions must meet the York College Transfer Admissions Requirements.
Transfer applicants must provide the following documents to be considered for Spring 2013 admission:
- $70.00 Check or Money Order
- Official Transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended (in a sealed envelope). Student copies, term reports or printouts will not be accepted.
- Transfer students with fewer than 12 credits earned must also submit an official high school transcript and proof of graduation.
Applications are accepted during our normal business hours. No appointments are necessary.

Commitment Deposit Forms
York College requires all newly admitted students to submit a $100 commitment deposit. This deposit secures your space in the entering class and allows the college to schedule you for important appointments which will prepare you for your first day of classes. To get started, please download the below form, complete and submit it via mail or in person to the Office of Admissions.
PLEASE NOTE: January 28, 2013 is the first day of classes.
