Transfer Admission
Transfer students are students who have previously studied at other postsecondary institutions.
Application Requirements
Spring & Fall 2010 Admission
Transfer students seeking admission for spring or fall are invited to apply online at www.cuny.edu/prepare. Additional materials that will be required include:
- $70 application fee (check or money order)
- Official transcripts from each college or postsecondary institution attended
Special Application Requirements:

transfers with less than 12 cumulative credits must also submit an official high school transcript or GED scores and diploma.

transfer to the SEEK Program is only possible for students who participated in SEEK, College Discovery, EOP or HEOP at a prior institution.
Academic Requirements
Transfer candidates for spring 2010 will be considered for admission as follows:
- 2.0 GPA – 12 or more credits.
- 2.0 GPA – less than 12 credits plus 78 high school average and 12 academic units or 3000 GED Score.

Application Deadlines
York College has rolling admissions but students are encouraged to apply by the suggested dates below in order to ensure early access to orientation programming and a full range of campus services.
For the Fall semester, apply by February 1
For the Spring semester, apply by October 1
