York College Strategic Initiatives Fund Information and application

Through the generosity of the York College Foundation Board of Directors, we now offer Strategic Initiatives funding dedicated to supporting faculty projects that may include research, curriculum development, efforts to enhance pedagogy, professional development, publication of work, employing research assistants, etc.

  • Awards will be given anywhere from $1,000 to a maximum of $10,000 pending application review by the Strategic Initiatives Fund Committee.
  • The committee will review submissions each year in October, January, and April.

Please take advantage of this fantastic opportunity! Should you have any questions, please contact us via email at academicaffairs@york.cuny.edu. Good luck!

Measurement of Impact

All granted projects must submit a final report no later than one month after the agreed-upon completion date. All reports must include a summary narrative and analysis of data using key performance indicators and results-based accountability as described in the application. Submission of final reports to the York College Foundation is necessary for donor relations activities of the Foundation and required for future funding consideration.

Metrics

Every grant proposal shall establish metrics by which the grant impact shall be measured. The Foundation may use these metrics in external grant applications, funder reports, and donor communications to share the success of programs and projects.

Amendments

For grants that require an amendment within the funding period, amendments may be made upon the applicant's and their supervisor's signature.

Records

Copies of all approved grants will be registered in the files of the York College Foundation. A copy will be sent to the Business Office and Foundation accountant.
