With nail salons and spas closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, what are you doing to practice self-care?
Who are some women you admire and why?
I am doing self-care by staying home, washing my hands and taking a shower if I go outside and keeping as much distance with people as possible. In this extremely tough time, I think my family has supported me the most in my self-care. We are hanging on to each other and spending as much time with each other because we know when this time is over and hopefully it is. We are all going to get extremely busy again. For food, my mom and dad go to get food once in a while from the grocery stores near us, but now we are fully in quarantine.
The ways that I have practiced self care during this time has been to take better care of my hair because that is something that i tend to neglect throughout the semester. I have been doing weekly conditioning treatments instead of biweekly, and have attempted new hairstyles through much trial and error. Practicing self care has been one way to take my mind off the daily stressors due to this pandemic even if it is just temporary.
Is the policy of social distancing giving anyone anxiety? How do you deal with being forced to stay inside and away from people?
