Sociology of Religion

SOC344 (Liberal Arts) Sociology of Religion 3 hrs. 3 crs. Religion as a social phenomenon present in all societies; focus on relations between religion and economic, political, and family institutions; the structure and evolution of different types of religious organizations; and theories of the origin and functions of religion.
