PSY253 (Liberal Arts) Industrial/Organizational Psychology 3 hrs. 3 crs. This course will examine the field of Industrial/Organizational psychology, which is the application of the methods, research findings and principles of psychology to people at work. In this course we will objectively examine the fit between the demands and resources of both people and their work environment. Specifically, we will examine the factors which affect the fit between people and the work environment, the results of good fit and bad fit, and attempts to modify both people and the work environment to improve fit.
