'Tis the Season

Subject: 'Tis the SeasonDear Students,

Last week as I was preparing for my 5k run, I would walk around my neighborhood.  Although I prefer Spring to Fall, I do enjoy seeing the change of season. The trees were in full autumn glory—fiery reds, golden yellows, and deep oranges. As I watched the leaves fall, I was reminded of something simple but powerful: letting go is part of growth.

Just like those trees shedding their leaves, this time of year invites us to release what no longer serves us—stress, self-doubt, or even that one assignment we wish we’d done differently. The semester’s end is near, and while it may feel overwhelming, it’s also a chance to reflect on how far you’ve come.

You’ve weathered midterms, juggled responsibilities, and kept showing up. That’s no small feat. So take a breath, trust your journey, and finish strong. The roots you’re planting now will bloom in ways you can’t yet imagine.

This is your winning season.
