Dear York Students,

I am excited to share with you the first of what will be weekly messages of inspiration, motivation and/or information. As much as I walk around the campus and am able to talk to students, it’s not possible to see or talk to all of you . . .  so this will be one additional way for me to say hi!

But please don’t leave me hanging.  Our Incredible IT department has configured this email so that you are able to respond to my weekly emails.  Feel free to say hi, or let me know how you are doing and how your classes are going.  If you bring an issue to my attention, I will be sure to connect you to the person or office on campus that will help you to resolve it.

It’s hard to believe that we are three weeks into the semester.  By now you have attended classes and have started to get into your studies.  Don’t leave your assignments hanging or your grades hanging either.   Get help early by visiting the Collaborative Learning Center  (Academic Core, Room 1C18) https://www.york.cuny.edu/collaborative-learning-center for academic support.  They offer FREE  in-person and 24/7 online tutoring. Let’s make the remaining 91 days of the semester great ones.

I am looking forward to connecting with you each week.

President Schrader
