York College Strategic Plan Process 2020-2025

To The College Community

From President Marcia V. Keizs

March 8, 2019

As you may be aware, York College’s Strategic Plan 2010-2020 is coming to a close and since January 2019, the Strategic Planning Committee has been fine-tuning the process for creating York’s next Strategic Plan 2020-2025, with a goal of completing the document and kicking off the next Strategic Plan in February 2020.

Committee members agree: hearing from diverse campus perspectives should drive planning at the outset. This spring 2019, we invite you to share in our evidence-based process to reflect on what York College accomplished over the last decade, and to identify strategic priorities for the next five years. Opportunities for participation will include workshop-style, interactive forums targeting different campus constituencies as well as various surveys for students, faculty, and staff to provide input. Whether via in-person events or electronically, the Committee wants everyone at York College to be able to contribute.

Please participate. This plan will guide the College’s strategic direction and resource allocation prioritization over the next five years. Know too, your voices will be heard. While our planning consultant and facilitator Anna Pond will keep individual perspectives confidential (unless individuals choose otherwise), themes identified will help the Committee shape a draft plan framework that the campus community will vet and refine in fall 2020.

I hope you will join in this process and give voice to what you see as the future aspirations of York College. Please look out for more details, including dates for upcoming forums that will follow soon.

Thank you for participating in planning the future of York College.
