Dr. Lilly Mathew is a practicing Registered Professional Nurse in the state of New York and has 18 years of professional Nursing experience. Her experience includes working in Medical-Surgical and Critical Care settings. She holds a Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degree in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Education and Cultural Competency. Her research focuses on cultural competency education in health professions using technology for improved outcomes among vulnerable populations with known health disparities. She is currently working with the Puerto Rican population of NY. She has served as a faculty member at various academic institutions in New York and has experience teaching didactic, clinical and simulation using active learning pedagogy. She is also actively engaged in Clinical Research which focuses on improving patient outcomes in acute care settings.
