Kim Glickman holds a Doctorate in Social Work from Columbia University. Her dissertation, entitled, “Complicated Grief Treatment: What Makes it Work?” examined the putative mediators of Complicated Grief Treatment. Prior to joining the faculty at York College, Dr. Glickman worked for many years in the field of outpatient mental health, providing individual and group therapy to children and families in public agency settings as well as privately. She also served as Project Coordinator for the Dutchess County Universal Response to Domestic Violence Project and worked as a domestic violence counselor for the Jewish Board of Family Children’s Services in the Bronx. Most recently, Dr. Glickman served as an Independent Evaluator for the Complicated Grief Treatment Program at Columbia University. Dr. Glickman has been trained in Complicated Grief Treatment, a cognitive-behavioral treatment for those suffering from Complicated Grief.
