The Quintet of the Americas present a free lunchtime concert at York College, with special guests Earl McIntyre (tuba), Renee Manning (vocals) and Carlos Maldonado (percussion). The program is titled "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue."

The Quintet of the Americas is Queens' premier woodwind quintet, performing a wide variety of music across the borough, featuring both classics and newly commissioned compositions. The Quintet includes Benjamin Baron (clarinet), Karla Moe (flute), Barbara Oldham (horn), Matt Sullivan (Oboe), and Sasha Enegren (bassoon).

This special lunchtime concert marks the return of the Quintet to York College's campus, and will feature music by living composers from a variety of styles, including music by Mexican composer Arturo Marquez's Danza de mediodia, Gunther Schuller's Blues, Valerie Colemqan's Tzigane, and jazz classics with Earl McIntyre, Renee Manning, and Carlos Maldonado.

This free lunchtime concert will take place on April 2, 2019 at 12:30pm in the Faculty Dining Room. Bring a lunch and enjoy some noontime music!
