The COVID Testing Site at York College is now closed.  Effective Tuesday, May 23 at 5pm, CUNY is ending the vaccination mandate for students, faculty, and staff. Cleared4 passes will no longer be required for campus access.

Poster for the Southeast Queens Biennial: A Locus of Moving Points

Come celebrate the inaugural Southeast Queens Biennial: A Locus of Moving Points at the York College Fine Arts Gallery!

  • 1 – 2 PM: artist conversation at Central Library of Queens Library as part of the Notations in Passing exhibit.
  • 2:30 PM: performance by Elizabeth Velazquez.
  • 3 PM – 5 PM: DJ Jam Tams plays a lineup of essential Southeast Queens songs (1980s to the present), describing their influence and contribution to the region’s changing music scene.

In addition, artist Okechuckwu Okegrass Ofiale leads an Earth Day workshop to transform uprooted Sycamore trees into small painted sculptures. Odathrowback leads a workshop to cover wooden blocks with donated fabric to create a portrait of the York College Community that will be gifted to the York College Public Art Collection.
