Abraham Lopez is a New York native, born and raised in Washington Heights. He is a hip-hop artist that sees hip-hop as a lifestyle more so than a genre of music. A writer from a young age, Abraham began rapping with his peers during his high school years. There was never a thought that the early freestyle cypher sessions he participated in at such a young age would be the building blocks for a burning passion to push his lyricism. Lacking a traditional musical background, the York College Performing & Fine Arts Department fostered his refined rhyming ability and allowed him to participate, grow, and learn as a musician. The music performed tonight is a reflection of all things, past, present, and soon to come. Enjoy "Blessed Life," the original work of Abraham and the many musicians that helped shape this sound!
