Welcome to America: A Caribbean Musical explores the assimilation of a newly arrived undocumented Caribbean immigrant and the complex pursuit of achieving the American dream. It is a universal story of hope & aspiration. The musical employs both original and familiar songs raging from throughout the Caribbean diaspora enhances with contemporary musical theatre styling. When a protagonist Sabrina Barnes takes the chance, and leaves her island home in hopes of becoming a star, she’s armed with talent and boundless determination, but soon realizes that the dream she seeks may be in jeopardy.
