York Scholars Attend Thurgood Marshall Event

Eight York College students were selected to attend the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s (TMCF) 11th Annual Leadership Institute & Recruitment Fair at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in Manhattan.

Emilie Arencibia, Amiscia Christopher, Lisa Dalhouse, Odaine Huggins, Angelica Johnson, Donna Kam, Jerome McKenzie and Latoy Richards will serve this year as York’s representatives among over 50 Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the nation.

The Leadership and Recruitment Fair is designed to foster leadership development, create career opportunities and promote networking with top recruiters and senior-level executives from governmental agencies and blue-chip corporations.

This semester Career Services located in 3E03 worked diligently to promote TMCF to students at York. Workshops and mock interviews were setup as a means of preparing students to meet with TMCF representatives on campus.

These workshops were open to all students and are offered every year. Congratulations York Leaders!!!
