Men's Basketball to Host St. Joseph's (LI) in ECAC Quarterfinals

The pairings for the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Division Men's Basketball Championships were announced Monday and York College, the # 3 seed, will host St. Joseph’s College (LI), the #6 seed, on Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m.

Earning the top seed in the tournament was SUNY Old Westbury, who will take on #8 Medgar Evers College. NYU, the #2 seed, will host seventh-seeded New Jersey City University and Stevens Institute, the #4 seed, will host Baruch College, who earned the fifth seed.  All quarterfinal match-ups will take place on Wednesday. 

The Cardinals (21-7) are making their third straight appearance in the ECAC’s.  York lost in the championship game to Stevens in 2008 and fell in the quarterfinals to NYU in 2009.  St. Joseph’s College comes into the tournament with a record of 17-9 after falling in the semi-finals of the Skyline Championship.
