York Participates in Plans for Jamaica's Future

York College President Marcia V. Keizs recently joined with Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and others for the kickoff meeting of the Jamaica Downtown Revitalization Initiative's Local Planning Committee, which is charged with helping to determine the best ways to allocate the $10 million in funding awarded to Jamaica by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

York, the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, and the Office of the Queens Borough President were the applicants that submitted the award-winning proposal for the Governor's Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The public meeting was held in the Little Theatre of the Milton G. Bassin Performing Arts Center.
