York IT Advisory - Phishing Attack March 10 2015

Please be extra cautious when opening email from unknown senders or with subject headings indicating something is catastrophically wrong with a password, health issue etc. These are schemes designed to get you to open the message and exploit your computer/account etc.

Phishing Attacks Continue

Please be aware of a spam email going around trying to get an unsuspecting user to either click on a link or open a malicious attachment.

Some of these emails looks like it's coming from a faculty member at York and IT other messages are using social engineering techniques designed to get users to click on warnings about health, neighborhood, or banking information.

We have blocked this email and are removing from our Exchange servers.

... We may have found_a_great car price_for_you!
