York College Names Greg Jackson Head Men’s Tennis Coach

York College athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Greg Jackson as the new head men’s tennis coach. Greg Jackson brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the college.

Jackson has been a coach at a number of different levels.  He has spent the past ten years at York College teaching continuing education and tennis.  Jackson has been a coach for several organizations, including teams in the New York Junior Tennis League, Boys and Girls Club, PSAL, and the Empire State Games.  He led the Eastern region to championships in the Empire State Games in 1990 and 1991. 

In addition, Jackson has served as a clinician for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) for over ten years.  During time there, he has worked closely with a number of tennis pros including Venus and Serena Williams, James Blake, John McEnroe and Billie Jean King. 

“Jackson brings over 20 years of coaching to the program,” added Athletic Director Ronald St. John.  “With his involvement in many local organizations, I am confident that he will be able to bring quality recruits to York.”

Jackson, a Brooklyn, NY native, lives with his wife and has two children.
