York College Appoints Director Of Development
Ms. Sealy brings to the position a wealth of experience honed over fifteen years in the field of development and event planning at diverse organizations and institutions such as New York Methodist Hospital, The National Conference of Christians and Jews and New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. In a previous position, she has successfully solicited and closed gifts ranging from $5,000 to $2.5 million for school campaigns and programs.
"The York College Office of Development is of paramount importance as we seek to accelerate our fundraising and alumni outreach efforts," said President Keizs. "This is an area where we have not yet reached critical mass and Ms. Sealy's expertise will play a pivotal role in taking us there."
As Interim Director of Development at York, Ms. Sealy was integral to the success of the York College Foundation Benefit Gala, held on April 21, 2009 which saluted the Legendary Tuskegee Airmen and paid tribute to Congressman Gregory Meeks and Christopher A. Ward, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Ms. Sealy launched the first York alumni reunion at commencement 2009 and is developing the first Annual Fund campaign.
Sealy resides in Briarwood, Queens, and received her B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
