York Alumni Assistance During COVID Crisis

Two York College alums have made it their mission to take care of their communities. Charles Clink, Jr.  (Class of 2019) and Matt LeBris (Class of 2017), have organized campaigns that are helping to feed those on the front lines: essential workers and those in on the edge, respectively.

According to Clink, with the help of family, friends, NYU colleagues, and others, he has provided over 300 care packages to the homeless population. Clink is excited to make more progress stating, "Today I made the third food drive. I will be out there again at the end of the month or early next. Again, if you know of any shelters or areas where the homeless are, please let me know. "

Matt LeBris is also making strides to put smiles on the faces of NYC's essential workers. His campaign has raised over $6,000 from the support of "New York Greats" such as former Mets manager, Bobby Valentine, and former Knicks center, Enes Kanter. Using the funds raised LeBris has visited police precincts, the Department of Sanitation, and Presbyterian Hospital, to hand-delivered delicious meals.

York is proud of the initiative shown within its alumni community. Keep up the amazing work, Charles and Matt! Continue to be #YorkStrong!
