Timely Warning Notice from Security

In compliance with the "Timely Warning Notice" requirement of the Jeanne Clery Act, the Public Safety Department of York College is providing notice to members of the campus community of an act of Forcible Touching reported by a female student to have occurred in the York College Library.

The incident was reported to have occurred on January 9, 2015 at or about 03:00 pm. The student reported that she was sitting in the Library's lower level. An unknown male approached her and after brief discussion forcibly touched her.

The suspect was described as an African American Male, tall and thin with a brown eyes and a cut above his lip. He was described as wearing a gray knit ski cap, glasses and was carrying a black backpack.

This individual remains at large and it can be assumed that he continues to pose a threat to the campus community. It is therefore, the duty of the institution to warn its members of any possible threats or dangerous conditions on or near its campus. The Public Safety Department urges everyone to be vigilant especially on public streets as they travel to and from the campus.
