Adjunct Lecturer Named to 2024 40 Under 40 Public Health Award List
Adjunct Lecturer Thinh Vu Named Recipient of Boston Congress of Public Health’s 40 under 40 Public Health Catalyst Award
The Boston Congress of Public Health proudly announces Thinh Vu as one of the distinguished recipients of the prestigious 40 Under 40 Public Health Catalyst Award for the 2024 Cohort. This esteemed recognition celebrates his outstanding dedication and impactful contributions to public health and social justice.
The Boston Congress of Public Health, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing public health through the lens of social justice, awards the 40 Under 40 Public Health Catalyst Award to global leaders under 40 across disciplines who inspire and catalyze progress toward a more just and equitable world.
Vu's commitment and dedication to public health is evident through numerous accolades, including the Donald & Mary Ellen Passantino International Students Award 2022 from the CUNY University Student Senate, the Emerging Professional Award 2023 and induction into the Hall of Fame from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, the Cancer Public Health Student Award 2023 from the American Public Health Association Cancer Forum, the Professional Growth Award 2023 and Student Success Award 2024 from the CUNY SPH Graduate Student Government Association, and the Dean's Doctoral Dissertation Award 2024 from CUNY SPH.
As an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Health and Human Performance at York College, Vu is teaching “Health Equity and Cultural Responsiveness (PH 285)” this Fall 2024. His award underscores his dedication to promoting health equity and social change, which he imparts to his students through his teaching and research.
