THE CUNY Campaign For 2015-2016 Has Begun!
Dear York College Faculty and Staff,
Let me thank all of you for your participation in last year’s CUNY Campaign. Due to your generosity the 2014-2015 CUNY-wide campaign raised over $460,000 for charities throughout New York, with York College alone raising over $38,000. As a result of our successful fundraising, we won a Goal Buster Award for the seventh straight year. But, we surpassed that achievement in receiving the Highest Achiever award among the senior colleges for the second year in a row, which is no small feat!
I am confident that York will achieve its 2015 campaign goal of $35,000. Yet, I am hoping that we can increase the campaign participation among our staff and faculty to finally win the Chairperson’s Trophy. This trophy has been won by three Bronx CUNY Colleges for the last three years. It’s time to bring the trophy to York College in Queens just in time for the 50th Anniversary.
There are two ways to participate:
- Make your pledge online or,
- Submit a paper pledge form to your department’s Campaign Captain. You can download a printable pledge form.
We will have weekly drawings for faculty and staff to win a variety of prizes which include store gift cards, passes to various metropolitan attractions and movie tickets. If you submit your pledge by Friday, December 5th, you will also be entered into CUNY’s lottery to receive an Apple iPad2, 16 GB. The earlier you make your CUNY campaign donation, the more chances you have to win these prizes, so
Enter Your Pledge Today!
If you do not have a department Campaign Captain, you can either obtain a pledge or return your completed pledge form to the attention of Catherine Rosario in Room AC-2H03.
You have many charitable organizations to choose from, but we hope you will consider supporting the York College Foundation (CODE NUMBER 14205), to help provide scholarships for our students.
By embracing the campaign theme "The POWER OF ONE. THE STRENGTH OF MANY", York College will definitely meets its goal.
Thank you for your support.
