Message to Students

Dear Students, Since your arrival on campus, we have planned several activities and events to welcome you, our newest Cardinals, to the York College Community.

The month of September is full of activities and events such as New Student Orientation, the Welcome Party, the Club Fair and the Wacky Olympics, to help you get to know your classmates and to get settled into the demands of being a college student.

Although you've been attending classes, the "formal" opening of the college is Convocation, which will be held on Thursday, September 18th from noon - 2:00 pm in the main auditorium of the Milton G. Bassin Performing Arts Center (PAC).

What makes this event special you ask?

This is the President's opportunity to formally welcome the Class of 2018 to York College. There will be a reception and an ice cream social on the PAC Plaza immediately following Convocation, where you can meet President Keizs, speak with your professors on an informal basis and get to know them better. You may also meet other classmates with whom you have something in common.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Geneva Walker-Johnson
Vice-President for Student Development
