iPad and Chromebooks Fall shipment has arrived on campus

For the start of the Fall semester our college received another wave of Chromebook and ipad devices to continue the support of our Distance Learning efforts for those students who are still in need.

These devices have begun to be distributed to students who make requests via the Distance Learning Device Request page and meet the criteria base on questions asked in a follow-up call. This fall 2020 shipment is substantial and will allow the college to extend the use of the previous loaners to existing students who are active and registered for classes and still have the need.

We will continue to review requests on a daily basis in an effort to provide a consistent fulfillment and support of the Distance Learning Device Request program. When requests are made provide all the necessary information. You are required to use your Yorkmail address in order to properly self-identify as an active student at York. If you use a non-York or non-CUNY email address this will delay your request as we have to validate your status before we can contact you directly.

Requested devices will be shipped. If you have special circumstances where shipping may not be an option please mention this during the call back and we will make every attempt to accommodate as best we can.

It is important to answer the question on internet access. While we may not be able to provide access at home for everyone, the results of the needs will help us to make a case for more access.
