Fall 2013- Teaching Adjunct Pay Dates
9/19, 10/3, 10/17, 10/31, 11/14, 11/28, 12/12 & 12/26
In order to ensure Adjuncts are paid timely, completed appointment packets and re-appointment documents ( appointment letter, Workload Reporting Form and Form 210), MUST be received by the Office of Human Resources no later than Thursday, July 11, 2013. In the event a teaching adjunct does not receive one or more payments on a scheduled pay date(s), payment will be made retroactive to the first pay date.
Additionally, emergency pay advances will be processed upon request, for Adjuncts who have not received payment on the respective pay date (s), providing the Office of Human Resources is in receipt of their complete packet/documents. A few things to keep in mind regarding emergency pay advances: (1) Emergency pay advances are issued by the College at 60% of the gross bi-weekly salary, (2) Emergency pay advances will be recouped from the net earnings of the first pay check generated by the State and (3) Emergency pay advances cannot be deposited into an employee's account.
Adjuncts unable to access Blackboard due to the delay in processing their appointment, should contact the Office of Human Resources at 718.262.2135. To ensure Adjuncts are aware of their pay dates for the fall, I ask that you please post this notice in your departments where Adjunct notices are normally posted.
Please note that any delay in paychecks will not affect an Adjunct's eligibility for health insurance.
