Dr. Mary E. Osborne Accepts Newly Created Position at York: Announcement from President Keizs

Following a nationwide search, I am pleased to welcome Dr. Mary Osborne as Executive Director for Institutional Effectiveness. She will begin on January 20, 2015.

Dr. Osborne comes to York with more than 20 years of Institutional Research and Assessment experience. She was previously the Director of Assessment Services at Arkansas State University and prior to that position she was the Director of Institutional Research and Planning at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College also located in Brownsville.

She was also the Director of Institutional Research at Monroe Community College in Monroe, Michigan where in addition she held an adjunct faculty position. She recently (2012) completed a Ph.D. in Educational Leardership at Eastern Michigan University and her dissertation research topic was: Transforming Data into Knowledge within Higher Education.

Dr. Osborne's position at the College represents the consolidation of Institutional Research; Program and College-wide Assessment; Strategic Planning; and the annual Performance Management Process (PMP) report. The consolidation of these processes will assist us in a number of ways on the accreditation front and especially in our upcoming (2018) Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE) decennial self-study and review.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Osborne to her new position and to York College.
