CUNY-Labor Arts Contest 2015-16

The 2015-2016 CUNY/Labor Arts Contest, supported by the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation is here again!

As you may know from past years, the contest invites students to submit writing or art that speaks to labor issues. The contest is open to CUNY undergraduates, and offers cash prizes up to $1,000 in four categories: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual art.

Over the past five years, we have had hundreds of entries from almost every CUNY campus, with winners representing the senior, community, and comprehensive colleges, and first-year students through seniors. The strength and momentum of the contest continue to grow each year. First prize: $1000; 2nd. prize: $500; 3rd prize: $250; honorable mention: $100.

The deadline for this year’s contest is March 2, 2016. For full entry guidelines, visit:  http://www.laborarts.org/contest.
