Call for Abstracts for Poster Presentations at York's SHSPP’s Deans Distinguished Lecture
Event Date: Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 Time: 8:45 a.m. – 2:45 pm All CUNY faculty and health care professionals involved with the aging population are invited to submit proposals for peer review to present a poster presentation in any of the following areas with a focus on aging and long term care:
Research Study, Teaching/Learning Project or Community Based Project
*Please note: Poster presenters must be in attendance at the event*
In 250 words or less please submit the abstract for research or related projects using the following template:
SIGNIFICANCE & BACKGROUND:
Explain how the topic is significant, important, or relevant to aging. Please address the rationale or background for the study or project
Clearly state the purpose, specific aims, or objectives of this study or project
Clearly state the conceptual or clinical model/ theoretical framework or philosophic frame of reference (for qualitative research).
Describe the design, sample, and data-collection instruments or methods used to gather data (if applicable). Please describe the data analysis if indicated.
Describe the findings and how the findings may impact clinical decisions or patient outcomes. Summarize the conclusion from the findings. If this was a project, please describe the outcomes and implications for practice.
Abstracts must be submitted by February 15th, 2015
