Appointment Announcement – Administrative Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds for Custodial Services

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alex Rodriguez as the Administrative Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for Custodial Services at York College.  Mr. Rodriguez began his new role on Monday, January 25, 2016, and we invite you to join us in welcoming him to the York College Community.

Mr. Rodriguez brings to this position more than 25 years of experience in building maintenance, building operation and building management in elementary and high school systems, the hotel industry and most recently, in higher education, where he served as the Facilities Building Manager at Touro College.    

In this position, Mr. Rodriguez will report directly to Mr. James Minto, Executive Director of Facilities Planning and Operations.  He will oversee and supervise the ongoing development of effective procedures to improve and maintain the cleaning, operation and maintenance of the College and the immediate grounds.

Please join us as well in thanking Mr. Joseph Goffredo, Chief Administrative Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, for his leadership of the custodial services function over the past four years.  Mr. Goffredo will continue to lead Buildings and Grounds operations.
