Announcement from Acting Provost Meleties
Dr. Henke joined the York College Academic Affairs team in the fall 2008; and during his six years of service at the college, he participated in many college and university initiatives. He was the liaison to the CUNY Academic Affairs, submitting curriculum items for the Chancellor's Report and was the chair and secretary of many college-wide committees. Dr. Henke planned, organized and executed the Provost Lecture Series and Provost Distinguished Lecture Series, respectively, and served as the liaison and main Academic Affairs partner with Division of Student Development in the Foundations of Excellence effort and the launching of the Cardinal Pulse.
Dr. Henke is a noted scholar of Caribbean issues with six books and several peer refereed articles to his credit. He was awarded a Fulbright U.S.-United Kingdom International Education Administrators Program award in 2013; and earned a Harvard Institutes of Higher Education certificate earlier this year.
His last day with the College leadership team will be November 7, 2014. Please join me, President Keizs and her cabinet in thanking Dr. Henke for his service to the college and in wishing him the best in his new position.
