York College Achieves Initial Accreditation from ACBSP

York College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY), proudly announces that it has been granted initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for its Department of Business and Economics. This recognition was conferred by the Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners, highlighting York College’s commitment to academic excellence.

“This achievement reflects the outstanding work, dedication, and collaboration of everyone involved,” said Dr. Fenio Annansingh-Jamieson, interim Dean of the School of Business & Information Systems, who shared the news internally. “Thank you for your continued support throughout this process. This is truly wonderful news to close the year on a high note.”

Accreditation by ACBSP affirms that York College’s Department of Business and Economics programs meet global standards of quality and are focused on preparing students for leadership in a dynamic business environment. The official accreditation means that York College has met rigorous standards for teaching excellence, student learning outcomes, and continuous improvement processes.
