York participates in Jamaica Q 5.5K Run

Kudos to York College students, faculty and staff, who participated in the recent Jamaica Q 5.5K Run!

The event celebrated the 55th Anniversary of local non-profit Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, and brought out a cross-section of the Queens community as participants.  Organizing sponsors included the Greater Jamaica Development Corp., York College, Jamaica YMCA, Queens Public Library,  King Manor Museum, the Jamaica Business Improvement District, and Run Hustle Run, to raised funds for school supplies for two local elementary schools affiliated with the Jamaica Y.  York took first place for "most participants," which included President Berenecea Johnson Eanes and members of her cabinet and office staff.
