I am Barbara Krinksy and I graduated with my BA in Psychology in June 1980. I would like to say that attending York college between 1977 and 1980 were perhaps the best years of my life.
Their moment in the graduation spotlight might have been two, three or exactly four decades ago, but members of the Classes of 1971, ’76,’81, ’86 and ’91 recently came back to celebrate with the Class of 2011 and to “reminisce, reunite and reconnect” with classmates and faculty around their unique York experiences.

For many years after York College moved to its permanent campus in 1986, its radio station (YCR) was silent, until Anthony Andrews, a York alum and administrator, advocated for its revival.
York College alumni recently teamed with New York Cares to volunteer their time to help in updating a school in Jamaica, Queens. York alumni have mostly supported their alma mater through annual donations of money and gifts. Mondell Sealy, director of Alumni Affairs at York College, recently thought of another way for Alumni to give in the community, and that was with their personal time.
