Unit Mission

The City University of New York (CUNY) Explorers mission is to bring middle school students to the college campus in order to promote success in high school, college, and life. Through age-appropriate visits, the program reinforces the message that all students can go to college, college is affordable, and students can take steps now to achieve their college goals.

Rationale for the Plan

The unit goal of the CUNY Explorers Program is to provide students with a better understanding of college, and to assess its success, the number of students participating and the results of surveys to both students and teachers/chaperons will be evaluated.

Data Collection and Evaluation

The data collection will take place from October 1, 2019 through June 22, 2020. The following stuff members will evaluate, analyze and interpret the data: the Coordinator/CUNY Explorers, Director of Academic Skills & School Outreach, Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning.
