TRIO Programs Assessment

Mission

The mission of TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) and TRIO York Enrichment Services (YES) is to provide supportive services in a positive learning environment for students who have low-income and/ or first-generation college students as well as students living with a disability who need academic assistance to persist in college and advance toward an undergraduate degree within 4 - 6 years. The TRIO SSS and YES programs collaborate with other departments at the college to connect students with services that will help them to succeed academically, personally, and socially as a global citizen.

Goals

• To ensure participants remain in good academic standing.
• To increase the graduation rate of program participants.
• To increase the persistence of program participants.
