Unit Mission

The mission of the Student Health Services Center is to foster health and well-being for all students in York College of the City University of New York. We encourage holistic health, which includes mental health care, illness prevention, early recognition of illness, while making appropriate referrals as necessary.

Rationale for the Plan

The plan to assess students' communication with health insurance providers and non-insurance health providers is to determine the number of opportunities that students had to obtain information from the various types of health providers.

Data Collection and Evaluation

Data collection is handled by the manager, wellness specialist and CUNY Office Assistant. Data collection started August 27, 2019 and ends May 22, 2020. The manager will assess all data collected.
