Unit Goal

Provide support for students to be effective learners.

Unit Outcome

Students will find information about technologies (i.e. Blackboard, Office 365, phones) and class participation strategies to be useful for improving learning.

Divisional Goal

Support student progress towards graduation, post-baccalaureate education, and employment goals through advisement, coordinated support services, and effective communication systems.

Rationale for the Plan

After having revamped and built stronger support for faculty in the areas of technologies and pedagogy, CTLET has started to build out its support structure for student learning. The two outcomes concern that new endeavor. Together with IT we are working on capturing feedback on our mailings that is specific to the emails' intent: to inform, to make faculty or students implement a strategy, use a technology, etc. This specific feedback can inform subsequent mailings as well as follow up events or initiatives.

Data Collection and Evaluation

Data are collected on a continual basis for reporting end May 2020 from the YC Mailings program and from Blackboard where applicable.
