Unit Mission

The Testing Center is committed to providing an environment where test takers are secure, comfortable, and stress free. The Testing Center offers a broad range of assessment testing services for students, faculty, and community partners.

Unit Goal

Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff and community members.

To educate the York community and the general public on the different Tests and services, the Testing Center has to offer.

Students will understand what College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is and how it can help them achieve their graduation goals.

Increase the proportion of students who earn 30 credits or more in the first year.

Rationale for the Plan

The above outcome was chosen because we believe the Testing Community is still not knowledgeable of how the York College Testing Center has become more diverse over the years.

The Testing office had a transition in leadership during summer of 2018. The hope is to continue to improve the York College student's understanding of what the CLEP is and how it can help them achieve there graduation goals.

Data will be collected by Testing Coordinator and College Assistants. Data Collection begins September , 2019 and ends August 2020.
