Unit Mission

The Information Technology Infrastructure office provides reliable, continuous, secure storage and computing facilities to support students, faculty and staff while maintaining uninterrupted network and voice connectivity service.

Rationale for the Plan

By removing unsupported network equipment and adding upgrade/new equipment will improve the network reliability and provide better performance to the users.

Data Collection and Evaluation

For the wired network, we are measuring the expected up-time of each individual switch as well as the downtime throughout the year; which we will analyze and compare. For the wireless network, We generated baseline wireless network coverage map for the whole campus. As we deploy the wireless access points, we will generate another map (heat map) and compare the coverage.
