• For Fall 2019, data arriving from the following direct measures will be used: PH 210: 2 exams (midterm and final); a final course paper; lab #3 (attach rates) • Because the program is relatively new (and with few students; median course enrollment for Fall 2019=13), all student data will be evaluated. • Assignments are appropriate in length for 200/300-level epidemiology course. • Faculty assigned to teach the course will be evaluating individual assignments. • Data collection will be ongoing (as assignments are completed). Data will be compiled and submitted to the program coordinator at the end of the semester. • Course labs and exams are assessed using an answer guide. Assignments are assessed for both accuracy in computations and completeness. Course final papers are assessed using a rubric. • The department assessment committee (comprised of all program coordinators (6 faculty members) will responsible for evaluating, interpreting and analyzing all assessment data. • Student learning outcomes will be used to evaluate how the subject matter and skills are being taught throughout the semester.
