The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is to promote excellence in teaching practices through a wide range of professional development activities.
York College Observatory
The Observatory is open to the public every second or third Wednesday of the month rain or shine at 7:30pm (8:30pm during daylight saving time). Please call 718-262-2082 for more information. Except for special events, we will meet in Room 2E01 and then move to the 4th floor terrace on the G corridor of the Academic Core Building of the College to view the stars and planets by eye as well as with the observatory's instruments. If the weather is poor, we will enjoy activities and/or a topical lecture.
Performing Arts Center
One of the Finest State-of-the-Art facilities in New York City, the York College Performing Arts Center is the perfect setting for productions of any size or scope.
Writing Center
The York College Writing Center provides writing tutoring for all York College students. Tutors work with students on all aspects of the writing process.

Women's Center
"The York College Women's Center provides supportive services for the growth and development of women students as they pursue academic and lifelong goals.
Men's Center
The purpose of the York Male Initiative Program and Men's Center is to provide a system of support, through various resources, that contribute to the improvement of enrollment and graduation rates of under represented populations, and particularly male students. Coordinated efforts to recruit students from various areas in the community, is one of our main goals. The other main goal is to provide various systems of support that lead to continuous satisfactory progress towards degree completion. The cornerstone of the program is our Mentoring Program, in which students have the opportunity to interact with other role models on our faculty/staff, and in the college community.
