I weave together teaching, scholarship, & service to engage students. These overlap especially in translation & ed tech. My translation experiences connect to my teaching & to my published translations. In the 90's I directed YC's student-staffed Spanish translation center. Theory & practice combined as students gained career experience & contributed to the community. Ever since translators became early adopters of Gutenberg's revolutionary technology language professional have embraced technology. Beginning with language lab it was natural for me to incorporate technology, as it has developed to enhance my classes. I have made Ed. I am developing OER materials for my courses. I will teach SPAN 240 as an OER course this semester.
