- Full-time matriculated student with fewer than 88 earned credits.
- Must have taken at least two philosophy courses at York College and earned a GPA in Philosophy of 3.5 or higher
- Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Registered for a philosophy course in the semester of the award
