2016/2017 Scholarship Applications Available Now!

In partnership with The City University of New York (CUNY) and 100 Hispanic Women National, Inc. (100HW), the SRR Scholarship, YLLI & 100HWGF provide financial assistance and leadership development to young Latinas who excel academically, demonstrate capacity to lead and serve, and are committed to social change.

It is that time of the year when 100 Hispanic Women National, Inc. is recruiting young women for our scholarship programs. Once again, we ask for your help in identifying prospective scholars from York College for the 2016/2017 entering class. We are seeking undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students who have demonstrated academic excellence, outstanding character, instincts to lead, and dedication to service.

Over the past 14 years, you and your colleagues at CUNY colleges have been instrumental in our efforts to attract bright, talented, and motivated scholars to the Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI), 100 Hispanic Women Graduate Fellowship (100HWGF), and our most recent program for Associate Degree students, the Shirley Rodriguez Remeneski Public Policy & Administration Scholarship (SRR Scholarship).

The 100HW Scholarship Programs provide excellent opportunities for young women who want to make a difference in their lives, their families, and their communities. We are proud to have recruited and mentored over 80 Latina students who have, and are doing just that! Our scholarship programs would not be a success without your help, and we are looking forward to welcoming promising young women from York College who break down barriers everyday to emerge as leaders in their respective fields of study.

Please find this year's program overviews, and the scholarship applications for distribution. These documents will be available on our website over the next few days. The application deadline for this year is December 1, 2016.
