The realm of aviation has always been my focus since the age of 6 as I boarded a Boeing- 767 that was headed to my native country in South America. As the plane touched down in Trinidad to refuel and drop off passengers, I was caught by the Pilot in Command and I walked closer and closer to the cockpit to take a sneak peek. To my surprise, he welcomed me to step inside and take a closer look. As I stood there with a smile bigger than the wings of the plane, I knew at that very moment, aviation would become my runway to success.

Now as a student at the CUNY Aviation Institute and the Secretary of the Aviation Club, who has taken part in endless amounts of hands-on activities sponsored by the Institute itself, I am proud to say that my dreams are coming to life- they are beginning to take flight like that very Boeing 767. With my experiences gained, I have a story to tell. It is a story that allows me to believe that my goals, just like the sky, have no limit. As Charles Lindbergh once said, " it is the greatest shot of adrenaline to be doing what you have wanted to do so badly. You almost feel like you could fly without the plane." - Charles Lindbergh
