As part of the Flight Familiarization Program the Aviation Management students had the opportunity to visit JetBlue's headquarters located in Forest Hills, NY. There they met numerous staff members, including the new Chief Operating Officer, Russ Chew. He shared his knowledge of the industry with the students, which gave them a buoyant perspective of their career goals. They also met the Charter Operations Director, Tom Amato, and the System Operations Manager, Randall Ali, who gave them the chance to listen to the daily briefing the office has with other offices located nationwide, that are in charge of carrying out the day to day aviation operations. Icema Gibbs, the Director of Community Relations also greeted the students and presented them with gifts from the company. These organization members went over Jetblue’s history, the expectations they have for the future, and most importantly, the corporation’s values which are safety, caring, integrity, fun, and passion.
